Sure enough, Jay can be trusted, and he looks really snazzy in that winged helmet which his father had worn during the "war of the Americas." Certainly Caitlin Snow seems to like this new speedster-which is good.

"I will never trust again!" is basically Barry's shtick for the first half of the episode, until Patty is kidnapped and Iris talks some sense into him. All his powers were lost in the process.īarry really, really doesn't want to trust Jay for some reason, which we find out later is because he's still feeling so betrayed and burned by Harrison Wells. Well, he was sucked up into the wormhole between worlds and dropped into this one. He's come to this version of Earth to warn Barry Allen about Zoom. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) is the "original" Flash. She seems like a nice no-nonsense addition to the cast. She's got her reasons, and eventually, after a kidnapping a rescue, Joe comes around. Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) is an upbeat cop who wants to join the anti meta-human task force led by Joe West, who is (at first anyways) not interested.

The rest of the episode focused on three new arrivals to the cast and one new meta-human from world #2. Stein after his collapse, that secret may remain Cisco's alone for some time. Cisco is just a fascinating character to me, and I'm excited to see where his arc goes, though I wish he wouldn't keep secrets.Īnd depending on what happens to Dr. I like stories that are told from the perspective of secondary characters rather than central protagonists. It occurred to me that this show from Cisco's, rather than Barry's, point of view might be really interesting.
